Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern all travel planning services and travel-related arrangements provided by JL Curated Travel LLC (“JL Curated Travel,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By booking travel services, paying planning or professional fees, or using our website or services in any manner, you (“Client,” “you,” “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, you must not proceed with booking or use our services.
1. Role of JL Curated Travel LLC
JL Curated Travel LLC acts solely as a travel advisor and booking agent for third-party suppliers, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, transportation providers, and activity vendors (collectively, “Suppliers”). We do not own, operate, or control any Supplier and are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
2. Acceptance of Terms
Your payment of any invoice, planning fee, deposit, or booking charge constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in full. No employee or independent contractor of JL Curated Travel LLC is authorized to alter these Terms unless confirmed in writing.
3. Client Responsibilities & Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete traveler information, including legal names exactly as they appear on government-issued identification, dates of birth, and contact details. JL Curated Travel LLC is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by you.
You must carefully review all invoices, itineraries, tickets, and booking confirmations immediately upon receipt. Any errors or discrepancies must be reported to JL Curated Travel LLC in writing within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt. Failure to notify us within this timeframe constitutes acceptance of the booking as confirmed, and JL Curated Travel LLC shall not be responsible for any resulting fees, penalties, or losses.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to enter into this Agreement.
4. Passports, Visas & Entry Requirements
You are solely responsible for obtaining and carrying all required travel documents, including passports, visas, transit visas, vaccinations, and any other entry requirements imposed by destination or transit countries.
Many destinations require passports to be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the return date and may require blank visa pages. Failure to comply may result in denied boarding or entry, for which JL Curated Travel LLC assumes no responsibility.
5. Health, Vaccinations & Travel Risks
Travel may involve inherent risks, including illness, injury, exposure to disease, physical exertion, and participation in activities that may be physically or mentally demanding. You acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with travel and participation in activities arranged by independent Suppliers.
Certain itinerary components may include wellness experiences, adventure activities, excursions, or physical challenges offered and operated solely by third-party Suppliers. JL Curated Travel LLC does not control these activities, makes no representations or warranties regarding the qualifications, safety standards, or conduct of such providers, and is not liable for any injury, illness, loss, death, or other damages arising from participation in these activities. By proceeding with booking, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks related to such activities.
You are responsible for complying with all health requirements, including vaccinations, testing, or medical documentation. We strongly encourage consultation with qualified medical professionals and independent review of guidance from official sources such as the CDC and U.S. State Department.
6. Pricing, Availability, Currency Fluctuation & Errors
All prices are subject to availability, change, and confirmation by Suppliers. JL Curated Travel LLC reserves the right to correct pricing errors, supplier errors, or omissions at any time prior to final confirmation.
Prices may be affected by currency exchange rate fluctuations, taxes, fuel surcharges, or supplier-imposed fees, which may change after a quote is provided. By authorizing payment, you acknowledge and accept responsibility for any such fluctuations or additional charges imposed by Suppliers, even after initial payment or deposit.
JL Curated Travel LLC is not responsible for pricing changes resulting from currency variations or Supplier adjustments beyond our control.
7. Payments, Fees & Authorizations
You authorize JL Curated Travel LLC to charge your approved payment method for all planning fees, deposits, final payments, supplier charges, penalties, and change or cancellation fees.
All payments are subject to Supplier terms and deadlines. Failure to submit payment on time may result in cancellation without refund.
You agree not to dispute or initiate chargebacks for authorized charges except in cases of verified fraud.
8. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds
Cancellation and change policies are dictated by individual Suppliers and vary by booking. JL Curated Travel LLC has no authority to override Supplier policies.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Refunds, if any, are subject to Supplier approval. Planning fees are non-refundable.
No refunds will be issued for unused travel components, late arrivals, early departures, or missed services.
9. Air Travel
Unless explicitly stated in writing, air travel is not included in land-only travel arrangements. Airline schedules, seating, fares, and baggage policies are subject to change without notice.
You are responsible for reconfirming flights, completing check-in requirements, and arriving at airports with sufficient time.
10. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect against cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, evacuation, and other unforeseen circumstances. Unless specifically stated, travel insurance is not included in your booking.
11. Client Conduct
You are responsible for your conduct during travel and for complying with local laws and Supplier rules. Any damages, fines, penalties, or costs incurred due to your conduct are your sole responsibility.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JL Curated Travel LLC from any claims arising from your actions or omissions.
12. Limitation of Liability
JL Curated Travel LLC is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or expense caused by Suppliers, acts of nature, governmental actions, mechanical failures, pandemics, or events beyond our control.
Our liability is strictly limited to the amount of commissions or professional fees actually received by us.
13. Force Majeure
We are not responsible for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, labor disputes, governmental actions, or public health emergencies.
14. Website Content & Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, and materials are the property of JL Curated Travel LLC and may not be copied or reproduced without written permission.
15. Governing Law, Venue & Claims
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the state in which JL Curated Travel LLC is registered. Any claim must be brought within twelve (12) months of travel completion.
You waive any right to participate in class or representative actions.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and JL Curated Travel LLC and supersede all prior communications.
17. Changes to Terms
JL Curated Travel LLC reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on our website and become effective upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of these changes.
